Economic Sociology

One of the Most Vibrant Fields of Sociology

economic sociology_the european electronic newsletter contributes to one of the most vibrant fields of sociology today.

The newsletter delivers relevant and current content for scholars interested in economic sociology, with an emphasis on developments in Europe. It publishes scholarly articles on research projects, provides an overview of developments relevant to economic sociology, and reports on the field in specific countries. Its features include interviews with distinguished sociologists, book reviews, and information on ongoing PhD projects.

The editors of the newsletter are appointed by the editorial board for one year and are supported by it and the book review editor, who selects newly published books that are relevant to our audience for review by qualified contributors. The newsletter is driven by the idea of free access to information and open communication, and we therefore encourage contributions, suggestions, and input from the community. You can contact the editors here.

The newsletter is open access and published three times a year as a PDF. Back issues are available on the website. Please subscribe if you would like to be notified when future issues are published.

The website is maintained by researchers and staff of the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne.
